Welcome to another edition of Foodie Friday Roundup!
Grilling season is still going strong around here. We have several more months worth of outdoor dinner weather and are going to be enjoying them. Not only is grilling popular at our home but seafood is also. That’s why this week’s Foodie Friday Roundup is all about Barbecue Shrimp. Yummmmeeee!
Since I am living in the great state of Louisiana, I decided to start with a popular recipe called New Orleans Barbeque Shrimp. I didn’t even know this was a thing until researching this post which is crazy since we’ve lived here for a little over a year now. Here’s a New Orleans Barbecue Shrimp from AllRecipes.
Ooo this recipe from IowaGirlEats looks so tasty. She creates gluten free recipes and the Spicy Shrimp and Sausage Skewers look delicious. These also seem like they will be a bit spicy! The shrimp are rubbed with cajun seasoning and then skewered with spicy Andouille sausage. Ooooww weee!
This technically isn’t a barbecue shrimp recipe but I’m going to go ahead and put some grilled shrimp recipes. This pineapple and teriyaki shrimp recipe from ClosetCooking looks so yummy. It also makes me think of tropical places and makes me dream of being on a beach somewhere! 🙂
Who wouldn’t love a little grilled coconut rum shrimp? I don’t really like coconut by itself unless it’s for skincare but there’s just something delicious to me about having it paired with shrimp. Here’s a yummy coconut rum shrimp recipe with only 5 ingredients from HomeCookingRecipes. This is a winner recipe to file because it only has 5 ingredients; I like to keep things as simple as possible especially in the kitchen! 🙂
To wrap up this Foodie Friday Roundup(pun intended) check out this BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp recipe by BigBearsWife. Firing up the barbecue, shrimp, and bacon?! Sounds like the perfect combination!
There are tons of barbecue and grilled shrimp recipes on the web. I liked these because they used few ingredients, looked like something I could even pull off, and looked delicious! Let me know if you try any of these out. I’d love to hear how they work for you.
