What’s your favorite way for indoor play during a bad weather day?
There’s nothing more frustrating than watching my kids slowly turn into little vegetables and becoming one with the couch because of terrible weather for weeks on end! Indoor playgrounds at the fast food restaurants are super fun but every once in a while we like to mix it up. So our answer around here… indoor trampoline parks!
This past Sunday afternoon, it was starting to get cold. I mean like in the 40s! Ok, ok, I know all of you that live north of Louisiana are scoffing at my whimpiness. LOL
Around here, there is an indoor trampoline park that is a great place to run off steam. IT’S AWESOME! We only stayed an hour and wow, were my kids worn out! Here’s my youngest running and bouncing as fast as he could…
For the trampoline park near our home, there are several different zones.
The main trampoline area is huge and in the picture below you can see the party area in the top left? It’s huge! Our neighbor’s daughter’s birthday party was there. There are two rows of 8 foot tables with about 20+ of them. That’s how many birthday parties can be at a time! It’s crazy!
There are also two dodge balls areas one area is for kids 11 and younger and the other is for 12 and up. I like that these are separated by ages since little bitty 3-5 year kids want to play just like big kids.
For our trampoline park, the first time you visit you’ll need to fill out a waiver at the computers and take the print out to the check in desk. You’ll pay here and get socks you’ll be required to wear. TIP: Be sure to bring these back on your next trip to not have to rebuy them.
The other three fun play spots in the trampoline area has basketball, a foam kit, and a “ninja warrior” course. Between all the different zones, my kids kept busy and didn’t want to leave when our hour was up. But they were really worn out!
Thinking that spending an hour in a trampoline will be boring for an adult? Well… there are plenty of places to sit to relax if you don’t feel like jumping. Plus, there are these comfy massage chairs and I think free WiFi. There are also benches between the jumping areas to sit and watch your kids.
It should finally be warming up around here with it being mid March and I’m looking forward to the sunny spring days! Until then, we’ll be going to places like this Trampoline Park and other indoor fun things to do. Do you have a favorite indoor place to visit with your kids?
