Ever feel like retail prices are way too high? I do! A long time ago in a galaxy far away I used to work for a major department store chain. During that time, I had access to the purchasing/sales database. The prices that items cost versus what is charged is crazy. It is understandable that there is overhead costs, shipping costs, employee costs, etc but goodness! Ever since then I’ve stopped paying retail on clothing (even at discount stores) unless it is an item that “I can’t live without”.
One of my favorite places to shop in our new town is the local Goodwill store. Some stores are hit or miss depending where you live but this one is great. They even have changing rooms!
So to show you that you can save money on clothes that are stylist, I’ll be posting some of my finds each time I got shopping. 🙂 You just have to be willing to look and willing to realize every time you shop it might not be a win.
Without further adieu, here’s a list of two different shopping trips in January:
White Stag Valentine-y Shirt with tags still on, $3.99
Silk shaw with cool peacock pattern, $3.99
Lucky Brand Jeans, $1.99 (original price $45 & up)
Cabi Jeans, $1.99 (original price $109)
Ann Taylor Loft Jeans, $1.99 (original price $69.50 & up)
Black slacks, $1.99
White House Black Market black lined slacks, $1.99 (original price $89)
All of these fit like a dream but I did try on 10+ different pants when I was there for the $1.99 sale. 🙂 Retail prices can’t beat these good deals! Yep, my Goodwill has manager’s specials on Wednesdays so guess what I might be doing today?
