”Signs that you are Not as Healthy as You Could Be” is a collaborative post. Please see the disclosure page for more information.
Your health should always be your first priority, but sometimes life takes over. You may find that you skip out on meals or even that you don’t get enough sleep at night. All of this can have a detrimental impact on your physical and mental health.
Look at your skin, do you have acne? Blemishes? Stretch marks? If so then this could be a sign that you are not as healthy as you could be. Skin quality can be a strong indicator that you have a poor diet and that a change needs to be made.
A lot of people struggle to sleep at night, but if it’s happening to you nearly every day then you need to get to the root cause. It may be that you are eating the wrong foods, or even that you are ingesting too much caffeine in the day. If you are napping then this could also be another reason why you are not sleeping well, so try and analyse your day and find out if there is anything that you can do to resolve this issue.
Relying on Lip Balm
Dry lips can be annoying. You may feel as though you are constantly relying on lip balm and that no product seems to work. If this sounds like you then you could have a vitamin deficiency. This can be because you are eating too many fatty foods or because you are not getting enough vegetables. If you want to stop this from happening, you need to try and diversify your diet and you also need to focus on eating different colors of fruit too. This will make a huge difference.
If your fingernails have ridges, bumps, discoloration or even white marks then this can be a tell-tale sign that something needs to change. It could be that you aren’t getting enough calcium in your diet, or even that you need to increase your vitamin intake.
If you work in a noisy environment, then this can really damage your hearing. You may find that you need to turn the television up more and that you also occasionally miss what people say when speaking to you. If you want to help yourself then you may want to try and learn more about hearing aids so you can find one that is suited to your requirements. It may also help to ask for some ear protection at work so that you can try and protect yourself against any loud noises.
Body Temperature Changes
It doesn’t matter what you tell yourself because icy hands and feet are not normal in the slightest. Sure, environmental factors can sometimes be to blame but if you are constantly cold then this could be a sign that you have a cardiovascular problem. You may also have a circulation issue too. If you want to get this sorted out, the best thing that you can do is chat with your doctor to see if they can help.
