Right now, I’m participating in the Writing for 31 Days challenge under Simplify and Organize. Come back each day for more simplifying and organizing ideas. Here’s some of my posts so far…
With 5 people squeezed into a 1350 square foot house, I’m all for discovering spaces to use as double purpose. One of my favorite overlooked spots are the backs of doors – cabinet, wall, hutches, etc. This post is all about backs of doors.
A while ago there was a picture on pinterest with the idea of using the back of the door shoe organizer for organizing cleaning supplies. BRILLIANT! It has also helped free up space from under the sink and now I don’t have to dig under the sink to find what I’m looking for. It’s so much more handy! The only drawback is if you have little ones that would be curious about cleaning supplies. I have anything severely scary on the top row(like ant killer). But my kids are past the stage where they want to taste everything! So just be careful if you’ve got little bittys. Here’s a pic… 🙂
Another great use for door hanging shoe organizers, is for t-shirts. My husband has a vast collection them. So when his t-shirt draw wasn’t shutting any more, I knew I had to switch things up. Viola! I roll the shirts military style and they fit perfectly. Plus, he doesn’t have to dig through his drawer to find which one he feels like wearing. Tah dah!
