Do you know that you are loved?
Bet I caught you off guard. You might have read the “Thankful Thursday” title and though this is all about gratitude? It is. But love is an exponential thing, not finite, and wants to be shared. I need you to know that you are loved.
When I was a little girl, one of my favorite stickers that was given to me was a bright red heart with the phrase, “You are loved.” I think it was either Easter or Valentine’s Day my mom gave each of my sisters and me one. I’ve always felt loved by my parents but know there are many that have never had this love. I’ve been loved by friends. I’ve been loved by my sweet husband. Oh, there have been times where I haven’t felt like I’m loved by these same people.
Bet I’m not alone.
That sticker wasn’t just a statement about a mother’s love for her child. My mom is a Christian. She knows God. Yep, it’s true. She knows God’s love and growing up always reminded me of His love like with a little bright red sticker. Reminded me that “God so love the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”
That “whoever” is you.
Whether you chose to believe in Him or not, He still loves you. You matter. For that I am thankful.
Are you facing a hard struggle right now? Are you overwhelmed, emotionally drained or worse? Please know there are lots of people out there that care about you. Did you know the National Suicide Prevention Hotline (1-800-273-8255). It’s 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones.

No matter what happens in life, I’m hoping that this little heart below helps you like for me the sticker did so many years ago to always remember…
