Do you have a wedding coming up quick? Are you on a tight budget? How about hosting a shower or event and don’t have much time? Well, this tutorial for making a table floral arrangement is for you!
My sister (and mom) have been helping family and friends with weddings for years. My mom even has what we call “The Wedding Stash” which takes up the attic of one, no wait… two of her storage buildings. There’s yards and yards of tulle, pedestals, vases, oversized bows, mirrors, candlesticks, baskets, fake flowers and greenery, even an aisle runner for brides to walk down, and so much more. You want it? She most likely has it.
They both have so many tricks up their sleeves about saving money for weddings and this new idea for a table flower arrangement my sister, aka Aunt Favorite, came up with just the other day.
While cleaning out her craft stash, she discovered a bunch of embroidery hoops…
Then she twisted one to look like this…
If you are looking for some hanging decorations you could even use two embroidery hoops inside each other…
For the table flower arrangement you’ll need floral foam.
Place the hoops on top of the floral foam and make marks to cut away part of the foam.
Cut a groove for the embroidery hoops to set in.
Hot glue it into place.
Start adding greenery. Glue it in to cover the foam and the bottom of the embroidery hoops.
Glue in the flowers and add a bit of greenery up one side. Finish up by adding in the smaller flowers here and there.
Additional tips and information:
You can also paint the hoops before every starting to match your color scheme for the event. The base for this arrangement was a small cutout piece of wood decor from the local Family Dollar store. This and the foam could also be sourced from any craft store. This arrangement should be able to be created for under $15 each or even much less depending on the flowers purchase which is a huge savings for some of the table flower arrangement that are fresh flowers or pre-made at some local stores.
