Welcome to Christmas Trees On Parade 2018
Many thanks to Terri Steffes, as the hostess of this fun Christmas Trees On Parade blog hop! Be sure to stop by her blog Christmas Tree Lane and check out her Christmas tree too. Ooo speaking of Christmas trees… tah dah!
So sparkly! AND presents already under the tree?!
Ok, I know, I know… It’s Christmas TREES on parade, but I just had to post a picture of my fireplace all decorated. Plenty of room for all the stockings and lots of jingle bells for a merry ol’ time!
Back to O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree… We’ve had this artificial tree for a couple years now and it’s just the right size for our living room. This year it’s nestled in my “art studio” area in the living room; you may have notice how the photo’s been heavily cropped. LOL
Our tannenbaum is unique every year because between our family tree and the 3 kids’ trees there’s still not enough room to hang all the ornaments we have! Each year less than half of our ornaments are hung up. So each year our trees are unique. This year we put up less homemade ornaments and more of our old classics plus a couple newly crafted ones.
Helpful Hint –
Do you have more ornaments then you have tree limbs to hang them on? That’s ok! It’s ok to only use a percentage of your ornaments each year. I love rotating different ornaments onto the tree each year and having fun enjoying see all the old memories. Another helpful hint is to go through your entire ornament stash and downsize. I did this two years ago. It felt so good to share these with people that would be using them. Don’t let me lead you wrong though. I kept tons of keepsake ornaments that my grannie made, my husband’s grannie made, our kids crafts, my husband and my ornaments from childhood, and lots more!
Speaking about the tree adornments, these are some of my favorites on the tree this year…
