This past Sunday, my family was traveling in two vehicles from my in-laws back home when we got stuck on the interstate… for 3 hours… did I mention we have three kids that are 7 and under? And we were either stopped or barely crawling down the road for 3 hours? Literally moving only 1-2 miles in 3 hours?!!!
When we finally made it to the nearest exit to get away from the madness, I followed my husband in the vehicle in front of me down some narrow country lanes for 7+ miles and finally making it back on the clear interstate. We stopped at the next exit for fuel and potties. Then I went through the drivethru to get some grub for all of us since it was well past dinnertime.
What a delight in an otherwise unfortunate long delay in our travels! It was dark and gloomy out. I kept thinking about the poor people that must have been in the wreck we never even knew or saw on the interstate. We were all tired and still had 3 hours in our trip left at 11pm at night. But there in the drivethru was a tall scraggly bush with floppy white, bright flowers. I heart flowers in unexpected places. Well, I heart flowers in any places!
There really is beauty all around if we are open to seeing it.
Hope this picture brings a little beauty in your day. 🙂
