Have you heard of the eBook and course Building a Framework: The Ultimate Blogging Handbook? Abby Lawson over at justagirlandherblog.com wrote and put the course together and has helped so many newbie and not-so-newbie bloggers setup their blogs and it definitely helped me!
I last started a blog 8 years ago and did that for about a couple years. Then a little over 4 years ago, my youngest baby was born and I felt it was time to quite the blog and focus just on the kiddos. In May of 2015, I started blogging again. I knew I wanted to monetize my blog but didn’t know how. First, in order to do that I knew I wanted to start on wordpress instead of blogger and found help(and continue to learn) from Blogelina.
Now by this time my blog was set up and I started looking at blogging and monetization like I did several years ago. So much has changed though! Now there’s multiple social media channels, more ways to monetize, high monthly pageviews expectations from advertiser, and so much more. After a couple months of wading through the murky waters of blogging, I stumbled upon Elite Blogging Academy(EBA) and Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers. I have still yet to complete either of those course because I wanted to first finish Building a Framework: The Ultimate Blogging Handbook.
When I found this course through EBA, I realized that I needed to learn about the blogging process all over again for two reasons 1. I was starting on a new platform(wordpress) and 2. I hadn’t blogged in so long that so many things had changed like media outlets, how to share posts, meeting other bloggers, etc.
Most people could probably get through this book alongside working on your blog in probably 1 month if you are a brand new blogger. Some people might only need 1 day for a really experience blogger or 1 week even. I took much much longer though with lots and lots going on family wise. Plus, I had trouble being purposeful in completing the book and working on my blog. Now I am making blogging a priority I’ve sailed through the book and am finished! woot woot!
So that it why I’m posting this review. For me it’s been worth every penny. I ordered the entire package that includes the videos which I have found SO useful. I also have used most of the printables. I really like the one that helped me realize what my blog focus was(I can’t remember what it’s title is).
Do I recommend Building a Framework: The Ultimate Blogging Handbook? Oh, yes! Most definitely! It very was helpful to me. It gave me the basis for my blog and setting up my social media accounts. It also helped me with learning how to connect with other bloggers and make friends which is fun! I like the format and the tutorials and videos have made it easier for me to learn to to set certain things up like CataBlog and other handy pluggins. I hope it is as helpful to you as it has been for me! 🙂
