Now onto part 2 of this blog post…
Sprucing up my fireplace. Ok, back story here – when my husband’s worksite started to wind down we moved everything from the work apartment back to our house. The floor vases on either side of our fireplace were from the apartment. And the sticks that are in the vase on the right worked perfectly (even without the Valentine’s Day decoration hearts) in its new home. The other two vases didn’t look quite right sitting empty though… If you want to add more life to your decor, check out ideas using artificial flora. It’s just about maintenance free and if you don’t have a green thumb, it doesn’t mean you can’t have pretty plants to look at!
It just felt wrong to have these vases here without anything in them, but I love the colors and shape of them and just couldn’t let go.
Enter… the set of 6 Agaves Succulent Artificial Plants from Nearly Natural. They look so read that my cat immediately tried to chew on the leaves when I spread them out on the floor. She was a little irritated when she realized they weren’t real houseplants to eat. LOL
I used one of these for the narrower cream vase. For the orange vase, the opening is about 10-12inches so I had to make sure and secure each of these together with some wire so they don’t fall into the vase. I wrapped the wire around the first plant and then kept adding each of them together.
I made this as tight as possible because we walk past the area all the time and didn’t want them to be in the walkway.
Now I feel like this is the last piece that I needed to complete my living room! I’m so happy after starting around a year ago with tearing out the fireplace, moving the TV, adding the vases and the perfect finishing touch with these succulents.
Check out Nearly Natural for so many different types of artificial flowers, trees, accessories, planters, and more! They are quality products and best of all you never need to water them. It’s practically the easiest way to add more life to your decor without all the hassle.
