Remember me going on and on about the BlogHer17 Conference I went to two weekends ago? Well, I’m not quite done yet! LOL It was such an amazing weekend filled with meeting other like minded influencers like myself, learning new skills, and getting to network with brands. There were probably 2000 other people at this conference so in this post it is just a couple, a few of the oh-so-cute fashion I got to see while there. SimpleStepsForLivingLife.com is a lifestyle blog all about saving time, money, and sanity but I’m going off script today having fun with a fashion post. 🙂
First, let me introduce you to my roomies that I literally met at the conference and then spent an amazing weekend with these ladies! It was a little scary waiting at the airport just hoping I’d be picked up but when I saw the car I just instantly knew it was them and was so excited! Check out the Instagram famous CatherineJKim and her oh-so-cool graphics; she had done work for major brands and her art can be purchased through the link in her bio(so cool right?). Next is my blogging BFF Jacqueline who teaches women how to have it all. A woman that has 3 successful businesses while raising 3 kids knows a thing or two about having it all! Check out her blog SincerelyJacqueline. And the last person on the right… That’s me!
The weekend was amazing because of the new friends and aquaintances I was so happy to make. I also loved seeing all the beautiful clothes. I’m not even a fashionable person but had to take some pictures (after asking permission that I would be blogging about it) and here are just a very very few of the super cute outfits(and fellow influencers) I got photos of.
I LOVED the blue and white jumpsuit that Yasmeen with EqulityNow was wearing and the beautiful dress with charming golden unicorn necklace that Latham with MamaGlow was wearing. These two women are changing the world for women. EqualityNow.org is a global organization fighting to make the world a more just place for women and girls. MamaGlow.com is a wellness and lifestyle site for women during pregnancy and beyond encouraging us through self-care, yoga, healthy food, and a healthy life. Aren’t these women gorgeous!
I was so happy to get to sit next to Elizabeth at the screening of the documentary BeyondSilence. I LOVE how her outfit was so coordinated and stylish; plus, coral is one of my favorite colors! She works for the company SheKnowsMedia who put on the conference. (THANKS TO ELIZABETH AND EVERYONE THAT MADE THIS POSSIBLE!)
Speaking of coral… Look at this Elegant dress that Tiana wore. She seemed to float around the conference with her dress flowing behind her. Eventually, I had to ask her if I could add her to this post and am so glad she didn’t mind. Visit her blog at TrulyLivin.(I’m pretty sure its her blog; let me know if I got this wrong as my business cards got a bit mixed up!)
How adorably chic is this outfit! Literally, from head-to-toe a colorful outfit that coordinated perfectly. The picture doesn’t show it but Shauna’s hair is lavender, earrings, skirt, and the cute shoes and top. Love it! Visit her on Instagram.
Ok, this is someone I met at literally the last hours of the conference. I have lost her business card. 🙁 If you know her, please please let me know so I can revise this post with her info and give her social media or blog link credit. 🙂
I have to say, don’t you just love her dress????!!!! And those shoes are super cute!
Ok, this wouldn’t be a fashion post if I didn’t include at least one accessory… Look. At. This. Purse. I sat next to the blogger at KeepingUpWithCandy and she sat this fun piece on the table beside me. Obviously, I HAD to take a picture!
If you’ve known me for any length of time, you know my favorite color is yellow. It’s happy, beautiful, vibrant, and joyful. Just like Kirsten from LowCountrySocialite or find her at the magazine she founded – Southern Plus Magazine. It was so much fun getting to meet her and hangout at the after party!
This wasn’t the best picture to show off this super cute pink top but I’m including it anyway! Gilmar is a photographer and I’m sure would have taken a better shot. But it was her turn to be on the other side of the camera wearing a very fashionable outfit! 🙂 See some of her amazing photography at GilmarPhotography.com
Here’s my eco-friendly model-looking roomate who wears clothing that were designed and created from fabric remnants that would have otherwise gone to the landfill. Her outfits the entire weekend were soooo cool like this dress… Be sure to like her Instagram page CatherineJKim!
Ok, I so so so wish I had a video of Antonia walking in this outfit. The fabric movement was so beautiful just like her! Antonia is the founder of MaterMea a website that tells the stories of women of color at the intersection of motherhood and career.
I saved my favorite outfit for last because of all the fun personality it had and because jumpsuits seemed to be “in” at the conference. I only met Courtney for a short time but sensed she has a great personality. Then after visiting her site PassionateWomanCS, I know what a great personality Courtney has as she uses her platform to reach her goal of “spreading a motivational message to those in need of positivity in their life.” We could all use some positivity, right?! 🙂
These were just a couple of the adorable outfits and women that I got to see at the BlogHer17 Conference. It was such a fun time! If you are a social media influencer and you have a chance, try to go next year or to this years BlogHer17Food conference. You’ll meet lots of people, learn new skills, and network like a boss.
Were you at #BlogHer17 ? Let me know in the comments below! PS And don’t forget to pin this post. 🙂
OMG that satchel is funny!!! Do you realize where it’s sold, or was that a custom piece made by a blogger? Such a lot of astonishing design… When/where is the Blogher 2018 gathering? I have a feeling that I need to go take a few thoughts!
Right?! I had to get a pic of it. 🙂 Blogher 2017 was in Orlando, Florida. Not sure of 2018. I enjoyed the conference break out sessions but was a little let down by how political it was and saying it leans left is an understatement.
OMG that purse is hilarious!!! Do you know where it’s sold, or was that a custom piece made by a blogger? All this amazing fashion…When/where is the Blogher 2018 conference? I feel like I have to go steal some ideas!
Amazing! Thanks for sharing this event and meet with you again.

Right?! I had to get a picture of it. I sat next to this gorgeous blogger at http://KeepingUpWithCandy.com She was super sweet and let me take a picture of it to feature. So much fun right?! SheKnowsMedia puts on the BlogHer conference. I met some bloggers in real life that I’ve chatted with online over the years and learned lots of stuff. Plus, it was 99% women and there were so many things talked about that was incredible! Plus the venue was FANTASTIC!
Hey Cindy!!! It was sooo great meeting you! I had a blast at #BlogHer17! Can’t wait to do it all again! I remember Shauna and GORGEOUS hair color! I have her biz card in my bag I believe. I still haven’t unpacked my swag. LOL I’m terrible. I’ll take a look this evening and send you an email!
It was great meeting you too!!! I unpacked my bag and then repacked it and have been meaning to get it out to look out. Life just gets sooo busy. 🙂
Thanks so much for the feature, Cindy!
Aaaw! Of course! Thanks so much for letting me put you in the post! Love your style. 🙂
