Set Some Goals
Before you do anything, you should put in place some short-term goals alongside some long-term ones. This can be as simple as creating a “To Do” list each morning and crossing off what you have accomplished throughout the day. There is satisfaction in accomplishing goals no matter how big or small they are.
Also write down long term goals as well. When wanting to reach long term goals, be sure to write out a plan as specific as possible with time lines, what you will need to have or do to achieve the goal, and someone that you can check in with as an accountability partner. Setting goals will keep you motivated and when you complete them, you will get a confidence boost from achieving them.

Don’t Compare Yourself To Others
In a world of social media, it can be hard knowing what is real or not. Most of what people post on social media sites is a filtered version of their lives. Fake it until you make it comes to mind, and that’s the mentality of most people nowadays. Try not to get too focused on what other people are doing and divert your focus to building yourself up and living the life you want, not wishing for other peoples’ lives. If you are down and out about yourself, delete the social media apps from your phone, they are doing more harm than good. Time can be better spent calling a friend to catch up with them than cruising through picture after picture of strangers.
Choose a Healthier Lifestyle
We all try to be healthier, but sometimes we want more of a quick fix. Fad diets and quick fitness routines don’t work, if you truly want to be healthier, you need to change your lifestyle. This doesn’t mean ditching all your favorite foods. Eating in moderation is vital, so start choosing healthier versions of your favorite meal so you don’t feel like you are on a diet.
There are hundreds of thousands of healthy simple recipes for you to try online. Once you start eating healthier, you might find that you become more energetic. If you feel like you have more energy to burn, then why not head outside for some fresh air and have a walk, run or cycle. If you are motivated to move more, sign up to your local gym or download a favorite app. Exercise is good for both your physical and mental health, leading to a healthier and more confident you.

Step Out Your Comfort Zone
Stepping out of your comfort zone can be challenging. Pushing yourself to do things you would usually do is great for your confidence with the right attitude. Sign up for that class you have always wanted to do or compete in that competition you always wanted to enter. Even if you win or lose, the fun is in living life to the fullest! Trying new things will help you become more confident.
Have Some ‘Me Time’
We always feel our best when we have been pampered. So dedicate an evening a week to have some ‘me time.’ Take time once a week for relaxing bath, or sit and read that book you’ve been wanting to read, or give yourself a manicure.
Also, we should appreciate our bodies more! They do so much for us, so we need to learn to look after them correctly. Head to your doctor’s to check out any aches and pains you have been having. Also, make an appointment with your local dentist for a check up. If you think it will help with your confidence, inquire about teeth whitening or dental implants, as being happy with your smile will make you more confident.

BONUS: These are just some of the ways you can build your self confidence. But the most important way is to take a look inside your heart and mind and find out if there is a hurt that is buried deep down that you need to face. Maybe you play the same negative mantra over and over in your thoughts that brings you down? Stop the broken record with the STOP SIGN method. Or try out a Bible study workbook like Me, Myself, and Lies: A Thought Closet Makeover (Bible Study Book) by Jennifer Rothschild. It changed my life! It can change yours too.
