I’m linking up over at AiringMyLaundry for her weekly “Hey, It’s Okay” article! I’m so glad she started this link up party because it’s starting to be therapy for me. LOL It’s also reminded me of my blogging roots way back when I started posting thoughts and memories and more in 2008. Whew! Time flies.
So this week I’d like to say…
Hey, it’s Okay…
… that I took a break from blogging this past week. I needed to give myself a break because of all the business and craziness that 2020 has brought. I have artwork in two different shows right now and about to have two more pieces of artwork in two more group shows! (Eeee!) Plus, last week was my birthweek. What?! You don’t celebrate your birthday for an entire week? Give it a try! Makes for an even more fun birthday. 🙂
There were 12 blog articles I needed to write on my organizational chart. TWELVE. One of those I meant to finish back in December but time (and a broken tooth) got the best of me. I did finish one post about our stay at the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Waterpark and posted a bunch of giveways though. 🙂 Several of the articles I plan to write are from our Magee Family Epic Roadtrip and three of the articles are sponsored that I plan to have ready by the end of the week.
Still, I needed a break last week.
After our week long trip at the end of January and the Lice-agedon attack on our house and now in the midst of recovery, I am purging everything that isn’t nailed down. After I drop off the bags in the trunk of my car, I will have purged around 10 garbage bags of stuff plus sold a dresser yesterday and gave away a chair (although that hole-y chair was replaced by 2 clean nonhole-y gorgeous new chairs). The last two days I’ve spent rearranging and sorting through 3 years worth of piles of stuff in our bedroom. I’m a mini hoarder. If the top of my dresser was a hoarder house, a teensy tiny person would have to walk over receipts, random earrings, tchotchkes, bits of trash, and more to get to the other side. So cleaning out our bedroom means one more bag out of here and a small bag of trash. Feels soooo good to get rid of stuff!
So, Hey, It’s Okay… that I haven’t been on fire with my blog and art business this past week. I’m working towards replacing my husband’s income and retiring him someday(I’ve got a looonnngg way to go) but this past week it’s okay that I didn’t give it my all. Everyone needs a break every once in a while!
