Summer is in full swing here, and it’s that season that presents you with just that perfect opportunity to look your absolute best that you’ve been waiting for. However, the thing about summer is that it requires a bit more effort to stay looking flawless all through the day. If this is one of your summer concerns, know that you’re not alone.
To help you out during this hot weather, here are 5 tips for looking good all summer long that will leave you looking effortlessly gorgeous.
Protect yourself with sunscreen
Everyone needs sunscreen, especially during hot summer days, so protect your skin from getting burnt by regularly applying sunscreen throughout. Your sunscreen should come with an SPF of at least 30. Anything less than that will fail to protect you effectively or long enough.
In addition to sunscreen, you may also want to consider sun protection pills. These pills should ideally be taken every day you step out into the sun. They essentially build up the antioxidants in your system for better protection from the sun. Be sure to speak with your doctor before adding any supplements or medicines or treatments.
Consider regenerative therapy
To keep you both looking and feeling better all throughout the season, a good tip is to consider regenerative therapy. This form of therapy, also known as IV therapy, involves delivering the much-needed vitamins and fluids your body needs through intravenous means.
There are different forms of IV therapy options available, including regenerate IV drip. It simply boosts your immune system and mental clarity and even beautifies IV drip that provides nourishment for your hair, skin and nails. These forms of regenerative therapies are sure to leave you feeling and looking your absolute best throughout the summer.
The importance of exfoliating cannot be over-emphasised. It is advised that you exfoliate your skin at least two times a week to get rid of any impurities that might have settled in. Experts believe that you can exfoliate smarter by using both mechanical and chemical exfoliates. Altogether, this method delivers better results when it comes to getting rid of built-up skin cells. Also remember to tone your skin and use a good moisturiser for nice, glowing skin.
Keep your lips moisturised
Keeping your lips moisturised does a lot to keep you looking good. Plus, who likes to kiss with withered smackers. This is especially important during summer where your lips are more likely to dry up quickly. More than that, the skin around your lips can also get damaged from excessive exposure to the sun, so you need to have the right products to combat this issue. A lip balm or moisturiser that comes with SPF is your best bet. These help to protect your lips (and the skin around them) from dryness and sunspots and burns.
Take care of your hair
Your hair needs protection and care during summer as well. Between hot and humid days and chlorine pools, hair can get crazy dry and start breaking down more than my old hand-me-down VW Rabbit without any shocks. You may not know this, but you can also put sunscreen on your hair. This basically prevents the sun from drying it out and damaging it, and it also works to retain your hair color. In addition, you can use a hair therapy mask that’ll add the needed nutrients to your hair.(If you know me, you know I love a good hair mask!) Finally, using the right kind of moisturising and anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner will keep your hair looking nice and shiny during summer.
Looking good all summer long is not hard to keep up with. Plus, it’s lots of fun to pamper yourself whether it’s the summer season or not. Here’s to hoping you enjoy soaking in sunshine! (With lots of sunscreen on of course!)
