Hot Springs has always been one of my favorite places to visit throughout my life.
Luckily, my in-laws live in this cool place so we’re super spoiled with all the touristy things to do like visiting Lake Catherine, Lake Hamilton, the Wax Museum, Alligator Farm, and of course Bath House Row. This past year we got to visit one of the local fun parks(yes, there are more than one fun parks plus the water and amusement park – Magic Springs). It had all the standard fun things to do… bumper cars, mini golf, arcade, and go carts.
This was our first time to all get to be on a go cart track with all of the kids having their own cars. I can’t believe that my kids are all old enough and tall enough to drive their own go carts! What happened to my little babies?!
Thank goodness my competitiveness wasn’t affected by this nostalgia.
I was racing to win…. Mainly to beat my lead foot husband though! I did pass him a couple times by cutting him off at the turns and he did pass me a bunch too. He ended up passing me on the last lap and “winning”. I’m hoping for a rematch at some point.
After our big race, we opted to play in the arcade for a while and got the kids a bunch of token cards. Yes, again, competitive Cindy showed up and did her best at beating the poor unsuspecting children. Muahahaha. Actually… I ended up being someone reserved. The kids had a blast!
The arcade at this fun park had a sit down in a pod type Halo game that the boys played almost the entire time (even my husband loved playing it). They had some machines that they didn’t have trouble winning prizes and some that added points to their cards so they cash in later at the prize counter.
We played at the arcade for a long time. It was probably an hour total. While my kids’ favorite game was playing Halo, always and forever is skeet ball for me. After all that fun, they cashed in their points and happily left with handfuls of little plastic toys and pieces of candy. I’m hoping to go back again this summer and get to try out there laser tag, mini golf and the bumper boats.
My kids always love going to fun parks. And FunTrackers was a fun one. Check out FunTrackers Family Fun Park on your next trip to Hot Springs!
