Everyone has those months where things are a little tight. You need a bit of extra money to see you through, but did you know how many little ways you could make extra money? Quick and easy ways that don’t require much effort and alright they don’t give you loads of money, but it all adds up, doesn’t it?
There is a lot of demand online for people to complete surveys and get paid for it. It doesn’t take you long to do, and you’re helping out a company by providing them with valuable information. Do a couple of these a week, and you’ll soon see a little pot of money building. Check out websites like SurveySea.com to find out more.
Again there are lots of companies who need you to go mystery shopping for them to make sure that their staff are doing their jobs properly. You could get paid £10 or more just for making an enquiry in a shop, and sometimes you have to buy something which you’ll get reimbursed for too.
Sell Your Stuff
You must have plenty of things in your house that you don’t use. From old phones, DVDs to clothes and games. There are also loads of places you can sell them online. There’s eBay of course, but then there are no specific sites for selling old CDs and DVDs, again you don’t get a lot for them, but it’s better than nothing right? Facebook Marketplace is another place that people are going to flog their unwanted items and today for many is the first place they’ll look when they want to buy something second hand. Also if you have an old wedding dress, then this is something that you could sell too.
Earn Money For Talking to the Press
You don’t need to have been to space or had a baby with your grandma’s sister’s husband’s son, as often publications just want to talk to people with experience of topical issues. For example if you have experienced really bad morning sickness or you met your boyfriend in a very unique way, you could easily make money from a magazine by selling your story. Join the FeatureMe! Facebook group which is full of hundreds of requests from writers and TV shows that are looking to pay people willing to talk about their experiences and they usually offer at least £100. If you don’t think you’ve got anything to speak about, then look at these examples from previous shout outs: £250 if you spend on tuition for your child, £50 if you have quit smoking and £200 if you’re part of a group of friends who divorced at the same time. It doesn’t have to be anything really weird. Alternatively you could pitch a story directly to a real-life magazine. Take A Break says it pays “up to £2,000” for readers’ stories and Real People also says it pays for stories – fill in the form online at Real People. With both, you’ll need to negotiate your publication fee.
These are all ideas of easy money. You just need to go out and get it. And while things are tight, just remember there’s always ramen noodles and other cheap eats to get you by!
