A first date is always going to be something that makes most people nervous. You don’t know this person well, maybe you don’t know them at all, and you want to give a good impression. Both of you want to enjoy the date. Trying to work out where to go, what to do, what you’re going to talk about, and what to wear can be very stressful. That’s why it’s good to figure out what to take with you on a first date.
The key to making you feel less nervous and giving you a better chance to enjoy yourself on your date is preparation.
The more you can prepare in advance, the more relaxed you will feel, knowing you can handle anything that happens. What you might not think of as part of your preparation is your purse or bag. Making sure you include everything you need in it is vital; here are some of the items you might want to take with you on your first date.
When we get nervous, our mouth and lips can dry very quickly. This can lead to a lot of licking, which in turn can cause lips to become chapped (especially in the winter). When this happens, not only will your lips be sore, but you’ll be self-conscious about them, and that means you won’t be focusing on your date.
With lip balm in your purse, you can ensure that your lips stay hydrated, and you don’t even have to think about them. If the date goes well and there is a goodnight kiss involved, your lips will be ready to pucker up! LOL
Nerves can make our mouths dry, and apart from chapped lips, this can cause bad breath. The last thing you’re going to want to be worrying about is whether or not your breath smells like the north end of a south bound skunk. Plus, if you’re going out for dinner or even if you just get something from a Taco truck or similar and walk around talking, there is the potential for bad breath.
With mints in your bag, you never have to worry about this. If you’ve eaten something that might leave you with bad breath or you feel your mouth is drying out, suck on a mint, and you’ll instantly feel better.
CBD candy is a fantastic thing to have in your purse on a first date. Many say that CBD oil can enhance feelings of relaxation and make you less stressed. When it comes in the form of candy, it’s discreet and easy to keep in your purse or pocket. As soon as you feel nervous, enjoy a CBD candy from Sugar and Kush CBD, and you could start to feel better.
Pain and Fever Medication
Headaches are the worst. They can come out of nowhere, and when they’re really severe, they can even be the cause for a date to have to end early. At the very least you won’t be able to enjoy yourself as much as you had hoped. Again, stress and tension can cause headaches, so the more worried you are, the more chance you’ll develop one.
When you have a medicine in your purse or your pocket, you can do away with your headache as soon as it starts, helping you to enjoy your date to the fullest.
A Way Out
If your first date is a disaster, you will need an easy way out! Be sure to have your phone completely charged. Ask a friend ahead of time that you can rely on if you need a way home. Alone that note, be sure to have your own transportation to and from the date. Even is this is a long term friend that you are going on a date for the first time, have your own way to get to the date and back home. If you feel like you are in danger at any time in the date, say you are going to the restroom and don’t feel back just walking out. You can always give the waiter/waitress the amount of money for your food so you aren’t rude leaving the person to foot the entire bill. Hopefully, this will not be a problem but it’s always a good idea to have a way out if need be.
First dates can be exciting and super fun! Be sure to prepare ahead of time with what to take with you on a first date so you might not be as nervous. And always remember to have a way out just in case.
